Renovated Building: Yuanjiadian Original Vacuum Forming Factory

Renovated Functions: Yuanjiadian Rural Market, Pavilion for Rest, Grandma’s Tea House, Interactive Workshop, Agricultural Exhibition Hall

Renovation Concept: The Vacuum Forming Factory complex facing the bus terminal and Yuanjiadian archway defines the site’s importance as the gateway to Yuanjiadian. Between the factory and the bus platform, there are 16 matrix-arranged deciduous trees that form a natural space, perfect for transforming into a gathering and communication place for villagers. We will preserve 9 of these trees and construct a new corridor in the shape of the Chinese character “口” to enclose the rural market and the pavilion for rest. Three small buildings of the factory will be demolished, while two main buildings will be preserved and an additional roof in the shape of the Chinese character “人” will be added. The upper part of the “人” points to Dongzhuang and extends to a plank road leading to the paddy fields. The lower part of the “人” encloses a courtyard, accentuated by the planting of large trees, and a pedestrian bridge connects Yuanjiadian, facilitating the movement of villagers to and from Xizhuang.

Renovated Building: Yuanjiadian Original Breeding Farm

Renovated Functions: Yuanjiadian Agritainment, Yuanjiadian Viewpoint, Yuanjiadian Camping and Picking Center

Renovation Concept: The original breeding farm is surrounded by trees on three sides and faces a lake, providing excellent natural conditions. Utilizing locally caught aquatic products and the theme of picking, we will create a Yuanjiadian agritainment based on the concept of “two residences and one garden.” The site, facing a large water area, is ideal for creating a viewpoint that offers panoramic views, enhancing the site’s advantages from another perspective. After cleaning and refurbishing the area on the east side of the building along the lake, it can be used as an outdoor camping space.
